Private Luxury Glamping in Alabama
Glamping in Alabama can mean everything from a furnished tent inside a busy campground to a private retreat surrounded by acres of woods. Auburn Glamping offers the beauty and quiet of nature without sharing your getaway with rows of campsites or giving up the comforts of home.
Our private 36-foot geodesic dome sits on 26 wooded acres near Lake Martin and approximately 25 minutes from Auburn. It combines memorable architecture, boho styling and thoughtful details with a full kitchen, full bathroom, private hot tub and comfortable sleeping space for six with one king bed and two queen beds.
This is camping reimagined for couples, families and friends who want the outdoors to feel relaxing.
A Private Alternative to Alabama State-Park Glamping
Alabama’s state parks offer beautiful trails, lakes, recreation and furnished glamping tents. They can be a good choice for travelers who enjoy the activity and community of a public campground. Auburn Glamping offers a different kind of experience.
Instead of staying beside other tents, campers and RVs, guests enjoy one private dome surrounded by woods. Walk the on-site hiking paths, relax in a hammock along the creek, explore the orchard, kayak on Lake Martin or spend an afternoon doing absolutely nothing.
There are no crowded hotel hallways and no need to walk to a shared bathhouse. The kitchen, bathroom, hot tub and outdoor spaces are all part of your private retreat.
| Auburn Glamping | State-Park Glamping |

State parks are wonderful for travelers who want the amenities and atmosphere of a public park. Auburn Glamping is designed for guests seeking more privacy, personal space and boutique comforts.
Glamping With the Comforts of a Boutique Stay
The dome is not a dressed-up campsite. It is a thoughtfully designed vacation home with a very unusual shape. A dramatic 20-foot picture window brings the surrounding trees into the living space. Boho-inspired details give the interior a warm, relaxed personality, while heating and air conditioning keep the dome comfortable throughout the year.
The dome sleeps six with one spacious king bed and two queen beds. The king bed is dressed in soft bamboo sheets, and multiple pillow options—including Tempur-Pedic pillows—let guests choose what feels most comfortable. Slow mornings can begin with pour-over coffee and a view of the woods instead of an alarm and a hotel hallway.
The full indoor bathroom includes an oversized shower with a rain head and wall jets. Outside, guests have a second shower, a private hot tub, fire pit, grill and deck.
Romantic Glamping in Alabama
For couples, Auburn Glamping offers something increasingly difficult to find: uninterrupted time together. Sleep late in the king bed, share the oversized shower, soak in the private hot tub beneath the trees and let the evening unfold around the fire. There is no itinerary to follow and nowhere you need to be.
Fresh flowers can be waiting inside the dome for an anniversary, birthday, proposal or romantic arrival. Guests can also text Laura before their stay for help arranging the surprise.
Family Glamping in Alabama
Auburn Glamping was inspired by our own family of five. We wanted children to experience the freedom and adventure of the outdoors while giving parents the conveniences that make a family trip easier.
The dome sleeps up to six guests with one king bed and two queen beds. Families have a full kitchen for meals and snacks, a full private bathroom, Wi-Fi, television, games and a Ms. Pac-Man arcade.
Outside, families can walk the hiking paths, explore the creek, visit the orchard, kayak, relax around the fire or enjoy the lake. The creekside hammock also gives parents a quiet place to sit while everyone slows down.

Is Private Glamping Right for You?
Auburn Glamping may be a good fit if you want more privacy than a campground or resort, a private bathroom instead of a shared bathhouse, a full kitchen, a real bed with comfortable sheets and pillow choices, a private hot tub, climate control and lake access without giving up wooded seclusion.
A state park may be the better fit if you prefer a larger public recreation area, want to stay directly beside extensive park facilities or enjoy the social atmosphere of a traditional campground.
There is no single right way to go glamping in Alabama. The best choice depends on whether you want a public-park adventure or a private boutique escape.
